Event: Wednesday 27th May 2026, 9.30 am to 1.30 pm
The Hub, Englefield Green, 57, Larchwood Drive TW20 0SL
Children and their adult/s are invited to participate in planning, planting and caring for a garden around a community centre. They can plant and harvest seasonal vegetables, fruit and flowers to prepare and eat and take home.
We learn together to care for our environment and about the importance of wild life in gardens through wild life related craft activities.
Volunteer role: To enable and support children and adults to participate in these activities.
Arrive 9.30 am for induction. Undertake gardening, craft or food preparation activities and welcome children and adults to join in, giving guidance if required.
Assist with setting out and clearing away refreshments.
Assist with setting down at the end of the session.
A friendly and welcoming approach is essential.
Gardening and /or basic cooking knowledge and experience are helpful.
Volunteers are invited to stay for lunch, beginning at 1 pm, but this is not required if it is inconvenient. Please make us aware of any allergies or dietary requirements.
