Could you help guide the future of a local charity supporting older people?

Age Concern Merstham, Redhill and Reigate are looking for new Trustees to join our Board. We support older people across our community through services, activities and projects that promote wellbeing, independence and social connection.

What you will do:

• Help ensure the charity is well governed, financially sound and focused on the needs of older people.
• Work with fellow Trustees, the Charity Manager, staff and volunteers to support the charity’s aims.
• Contribute to thoughtful decisions made in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries.

What skills do I need?

Who we are looking for:

• People with skills, knowledge or life experience that could support a local charity.
• Experience in areas such as community work, finance, fundraising, business planning, legal matters, human resources, property management, information technology, communications, health, social care or the voluntary sector.
• A genuine commitment to supporting older people, asking thoughtful questions and helping the charity make sound decisions.

Role type: Voluntary. Trustees are expected to attend Board meetings, take an active interest in the charity’s work and maintain confidentiality at all times.
