A Novel Idea is Godalming's only charity book and record shop. Located on Queen Street just off the High Street, the shop is run mainly by volunteers, and stocks a wide range of pre-loved books, records and CDs. We’re looking for volunteers with an interest in books/ vinyl to support the shop, Monday to Saturday from either 10-1 or 1-4. Depending on the needs of the shop and your interests, you may be involved in the following: Customer service on the shop floor, dealing with questions and queries, and taking payment. Restocking books onto the shelves, making sure to rotate and bring new stock onto floor Processing and pricing donations.
