This role involves picking up residents from Abbeyfield Reigate at 10.30am on a Monday morning circa once a month and bringing them to Morrisons so that they can do some shopping.
The residents appreciate a bit of support finding things as they go round the store, and enjoy a good chat along the way.
What skills do I need?
Patience and being a good listener. Our residents are independent, but often find the pace of activities around them too fast, therefore the volunteer will play an important role supporting our residents to get the most out of this activity.
