Derwentcote Steel Furnace is the earliest and most complete steel-making furnace in Britain. Join the friendly team as an Activity Volunteer and bring the history of Derwentcote alive by leading interactive activities, woodland walks, storytelling and object handling.
What skills do I need?
We are looking for fun, approachable individuals who:
Enjoy working with children or families and wish to inspire and engage young
people.
Are confident and effective communicators, who can adapt their
communication style to their audience.
Have an imaginative, approachable and friendly way of interacting with
visitors.
Are self-motivated and pro-active and can work well in a team.
Are flexible and keen to learn.
Are happy to work outdoors.
