As a Session Support Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in helping children learn new skills as you support our professional leads in a range of services.
Key responsibilities:
Session Support Volunteers will assist our professional leads in therapy sessions across our services.
Services requiring support include:
• Physiotherapy/Conductive Education
• Music Therapy
Responsibilities would include:
• Assisting therapy leads with activities
• Chatting with parents and families during sessions
• Moving toys and equipment when required
Our sessions range from thirty-minutes to an hour and Session Support Volunteers would be required for a full session. We have sessions in both the mornings and afternoons so whether you have a few hours or a whole day, we want to hear from you!
What skills do I need?
Desirable skills and qualities include:
• Good communication skills
• Organisational skills
• Experience with early years children
• Commitment to our mission
