We are a patient-centred charity that delivers palliative and end of life care to thousands of people each year with advanced life-limiting illnesses who live in Northwest Surrey, also providing support to their carers and families in patient homes, in care or nursing homes or through its In-Patient Unit in the Hospice; as well as through the Bradbury Wellbeing Centre.
You will, therefore, be joining a passionate and dedicated team of professionals that make a real difference to the families across the North West Surrey community.

Volunteer Colleague
We are looking for a reliable volunteer who is happy in a kitchen environment, working as part of a team, to join us in this brand new role.
Key duties and responsibilities will be to:
•Prepare ingredients and food items for use in different stages of dysphagic diets, including texture-modified meals as directed by the Head Chef.
•Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, blending, portioning and presenting food safely and appropriately.
•Follow instructions carefully to help ensure food is prepared to the required texture, consistency and portion size for individual patient needs.
•General kitchen duties i.e. washing up, cleaning etc.
We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, reliable volunteer who can engage with people of all ages and from all walks of life to join our team. You should have:
•Good attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions accurately.
•Ability to work calmly and safely with experience in a busy kitchen environment.
•Good teamwork and communication skills.
•Willingness to complete any required induction, food hygiene and IDDSI-related training.
The Head Chef will arrange an informal interview once the application has been submitted. If preferred, a paper version is available from the Hospice reception.
