Volunteering Opportunities with Friends Of The Sensory Garden

In the early 1960s a Garden for the Blind was formed in Harrow Lodge park. More recently a gentleman used to tend the garden and lovingly look after each plant, labelling them and keeping the area clean and safe for users but unfortunately the gentleman passed and the garden has fallen and sadly the gates remained closed to the general public. On the 7th of October 2016 Havering Volunteer Centre and Network Rail went to the garden opened the gates and began tidying the garden and making it safe, the park is now open daily for the general public but the work continues.
