About

The main activities that a volunteer will be involved in is invigulating the gallery space and greeting visitors. The volunteer is essential to the visitor experience. We aim to involve all members of the community in the gallery so need open and friendly people engage with the visitors. Typically we have 6 shows a year which means we need handy people around to help paint, hang paintings and generally help with putting up an exhibition. The shows vary from local painters to internationally accailmed sculptors and undiscovered gems. This means we may need help in researching artists and preparing for exhibitions. If you are interested in art and the local community then we will have something that you can do which in turn serves our community. We also run workshops for adults and children and would like volunteers to help with this and bring new ideas for the gallery. New technology is also coming into the gallery with the use of Ipads and wireless headphones so anyone with great tech knowledge would be a valued member of our team.
