Hadrian School opened in September 1999 following an extensive re-organisation of Special Educational Needs provision within the City of Newcastle upon Tyne. Hadrian has established itself as ‘an outstanding school’ winning many accolades from OfSTED, Charter Mark, Science Mark, Parent Partnership Award, Governor Mark, Arts Mark Gold and Investors in Children and attaining Financial Management Standard In Schools and the Eco Schools Green Flag Award. Hadrian School is situated in the west end of the city on an extensive, fully accessible site with superb facilities. Hadrian School caters for the needs of pupils aged between two and eleven years with a range of additional needs including complex, severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties.
