We are the National Football Museum, the UK’s leading organisation dedicated to preserving, exploring, and celebrating the beautiful game. Alongside our main museum in Manchester, we have a base at Preston North End’s Deepdale Stadium, where our Research Centre is located. The Research Centre is home to one of the most important collections of football heritage in the world. Here, researchers, students, writers, and fans can explore original documents, photographs, memorabilia, and stories that tell the history of football — from local roots to the global game. We would like our volunteers play a vital role in helping us share this history, care for the collections, and support those who come to use our resources.
