Through our Health, Inclusion, Employment and Research Programmes, RNID is working for a world where hearing loss doesn't limit or label people, where tinnitus is silenced and where people value and look after their hearing. RNID is now a digital first charity. We believe this will enable us to reach many more of the millions of people living with hearing loss in the UK. Until now, our support has only been available to people lucky enough to live in areas where we have funded services and so our new strategy is aimed at resolving this inequality. Through our digital service we will provide information, advice and even hearing screening to those seeking support for their hearing loss. We want: We are moving away from a varied community service portfolio to a standardised model which means that the support we offer out in the community will be the same for everyone, we want to bring the “all of RNID” to every person with deafness, tinnitus, or hearing loss in the UK, regardless of their postcode. We want: People to acknowledge their hearing loss and act More support for people with hearing loss No one to be isolated through their hearing loss People to protect themselves against hearing loss and tinnitus To cure hearing loss and tinnitus. We aim to make a real difference to the lives of millions of people who are deaf or have a hearing loss, across the United Kingdom. You can help us. Our volunteers bring skills, experience, energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to RNID, and volunteering can make a difference in your life too, letting you meet new people and learn new skills.
