We loan wheelchairs on a temporary basis to help local people who live in the CO postcode. We have wheelchairs suitable for children as well as adults and they are loaned for many different reasons including leg fractures, elderly relatives visiting, terminal illness, temporary restricted mobility and also people who are waiting for assessment by the Wheelchair Service. We have approximately 100 wheelchairs. We are currently located at Clacton Hospital and work alongside the North East Essex Wheelchair Service. Our opening hours are 10am-12 midday, Monday to Wednesday. We hope to extend our hours of operation when we have recruited more volunteers. - Due to Covid some of our Volunteers have been unable to come in so our current opening hours are just Monday and Thursday mornings, 10 am to midday. Our new leaflet does not give opening times as these may change. We are hoping to be able to open more mornings again soon.
