The St George's Health & Wellbeing Hub will give people across our area easy access to a range of health and care services, all under one roof. They will be able to book appointments and see a range of professionals in one visit with faster and more convenient access to things like blood tests, MRI, X-Ray, CT, and ultrasound scans if you need them. They will also have two GP practices on site alongside mental health and prevention services and some early diagnostic services for cancer. The centre will focus on the needs of those who are frail/elderly, but will benefit the whole community, acting as a base for a joint team of health and social care professionals delivering high-quality care for local people. The site will also host local voluntary and community groups, with a community café, multi-purpose education and meeting spaces, as well as a sensory, dementia-friendly communal garden.
