A critical component of the project for the Trust is its focus on community engagement and skills development. The trust plans to host a series of workshops and educational programs aimed at both adults and children. These initiatives will cover topics ranging from traditional building techniques and conservation practices to local history and environmental stewardship. The project will develop a range of creative activities inspired by the rich history and natural beauty of St Osyth Priory that tell the story of the site and its significance over the centuries. The goal is to make heritage accessible and engaging to all, encouraging a deeper appreciation and understanding of the past. The development will unlock some of the inherent social value and income- generating potential of the site that will lead to long-term financial sustainability and the ability for the Trust to conserve and protect other important historic buildings on the listed Priory precincts.
