Volunteering Opportunities with The Owl Tree Children’s Café CIC

We are a full time baby and toddler group supporting the full family unit within a café environment. We are a grass roots not for profit community that believes in community and peer support when raising children. We promote positive perinatal mental health through addressing loneliness and isolation. We raise awareness of perinatal mental health and work together with local Perinatal mental health teams to help families integrate into their community. We offer weekly themed play that excites and engages the child, playing alongside other children and their parents in a safe environment. In each theme we offer a combination of sensory play, messy play, crafts, songs and role play opportunities. For the parents we encourage interaction by sharing tables and fostering an ethos of community. We also hold regular parent meet up events, eg. New mums, pregnant mums etc. We also facilitate the meeting of groups such as APP (action for postpartum psychosis), Tiny Lives baby charity and others. Our main activities are kitchen and food service based but also opportunities around working with children and families in supportive context.
