Counselling Matters Bexley is a registered charity providing free and low cost counselling and other therapeutic activities to residents of Bexley Borough. We are looking for volunteers who can assist with reception and admin tasks at our new wellbeing hub in Bexleyheath.
Duties will include welcoming visitors and directing them appropriately, answering phone enquiries and liaising with staff and therapists. There will also be opportunity to gain experience in a range of administrative skills, including data entry, creating spreadsheets and documents.
What skills do I need?
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Good IT skills or willingness to develop skills
A genuine interest in people and the ability to relate in a positive and welcoming manner to the general public

We would like volunteers to be able to offer a minimum of 3 hours a week in a block, for example morning (9-12), afternoon (2-5), or evening (5-8), but other times or longer blocks of time would also be welcomed. Some aspects of admin duties could be done from home, while reception duties would be at our premises in Bexleyheath.
