The centre is overseen by a group of Trustees who meet approximately 4 times a year, normally in the evening. The role involves chairing the Trustee meetings, promoting the charity, liaising with the Treasurer and Secretary to ensure the charity meets its regulatory obligations, supporting the funding co-ordinator as well as fund raising initiatives. The Centre is run by a volunteer manager on a day to day basis but the Chairman will need to take an interest in the work being done and help with decision making if needed.
In return we offer the chance to work alongside an amazing group of volunteers (many of whom have been involved with the Centre for over 25 years) and to experience the satisfaction of seeing first hand the difference that the Centre makes to the lives of the people it touches.
What skills do I need?
You will enjoy working in a team, be able to formulate views and help with policy matters.
It is important to be able to empathise with people with physical disabilities.

This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.
