As a first aider you will provide first aid care to people in need at public events. We provide full training. This volunteer role can see you meeting new people and using your skills to help others at Essex based events such as village and school fetes, firework displays, carnivals, food & drink fairs, sporting events and fun runs. You will be working with experienced first aiders to provide assistance to people of all ages. There are opportunities to progress to enhanced first aider if you so choose.
You need to be reliable with good oral and written communication skills, if you want to help people in your community we would welcome you to our team. You do not need to have previous first aid experience as we will provide you with the training you require.
As a first aid volunteer you will need to attend regular first aid group training sessions on a Monday evening from 19.30hrs - 22.00hrs at alternating venues at Springfield Hospital in Chelmsford CM1 7GU and Asda at South Woodham Ferrers CM3 5TB. You will attend a range of community events to provide first aid cover, mainly at weekends. You will be reliable and presentable and enjoy working as part of a team.
