To lead ponies or walk beside helpers giving riders moral support and a sense of security. We would welcome your assistance with any aspect of Chigwell Riding Trust. When one considers that it sometimes takes one person to lead the pony and one person either side to assist the rider, it is obvious that the Trust could not function without voluntary help.
Times: Daytime weekdays approximately 10.30 - 5.00 and/or approx. 11.30pm-1.30pm weekends (summer times). 1.45-3.45 winter times.
You will be able to do some limited volunteering while Chigwell Riding Trust arranges for you to be DBS (police) checked. Particularly looking for volunteers on weekdays.
It is not necessary to have any knowledge of horses as the qualified staff will show you just what to do. All that is required is a willingness to help.Empathy for people with special needs. A liking for horses.
