Peaceful Place is a day centre for people of working age and older living with dementia.

Our aim is to help our members live their best lives by providing them with activities they can take part in and enjoy.

We are looking for volunteers to assist our members to take part in sports activities.

Each week we take our members to the local sporting village for sporting sessions including:

• Boccia - a game where our members roll a ball onto the court with the aim of getting closest to a \'jack\' ball
• Swimming
• Gym
• Mini Golf
• Walking Football
• Darts
• Badminton
• Table Tennis
• Yoga - takes place at the day centre

We would like our volunteers to take a proactive approach and join in the activities with our members.

If you can spare a few hours a week to help, we would love to hear from you.

We are happy for you to specify what sports activities you would like to help with.

We have a friendly and welcoming team here at the Peaceful Place day centre and we will support you as a volunteer if you choose to help us.

Sessions will be led by our experienced staff who will provide any training needed.

What skills do I need?

You will need to have a kind, caring and patient nature.

You will need to be empathetic to our members.

You will need to have excellent observational skills.
