Volunteering Opportunities with Peaceful Place
About
Peaceful Place recently moved into a purpose built day care service in Basildon meeting the needs of individuals living with early and young onset Dementia. We provide transport to and from the centre, breakfast, lunch and tea with various activities of art, sport and well being programmes. We are continuously growing our service including the development of family carer support groups. Our ambition is to delay the onset of Dementia through the reduction of isolation, increased opportunities to engage in stimulating and meaningful activities and providing regular exercise when possible. We are seeking volunteers to support many roles from cooking, administration tasks, Drivers, assistance with art, music and sports projects, support with websites, Facebook, twitter, creating monthly newsletters, walk and talk projects etc. If you have the time we have the role so please do make contact with us to talk through your area of interest.
