Theatre Usher

Volunteer Ushers help in the smooth running of the Thameside Theatre during live events and cinema screenings and support staff. This role aims to be rewarding and fun for all.
Tasks include:
- Greeting visitors.
- Assist with checking tickets and directing visitors.
- Help clean the venue after events.
- Assist in case of emergency evacuation (training will be given).
- Direct customer enquiries to members of staff as required.

What skills do I need?
- Be polite and friendly to the public; the theatre is committed to equal opportunities. This means we welcome volunteers and visitors to the theatre from all sections of our community.
- Having an interest in theatre, cinema, the arts or other community events will help make this role more enjoyable for our volunteers.
- Be well presented, friendly, punctual and reliable.
- Be able to remain calm under pressure (the theatre can get very busy!).
