Neurodivergent Arts CIC is a neurodivergent-led creative health organisation in its first year. We would love to hear from you if you’d like to be part of a small Stakeholder Board helping us lay strong, sustainable foundations.

We aim for at least 75% of our Stakeholder Board to be neurodivergent or have close lived experience of neurodivergence (for example, as a parent/carer or family member). Skilled allies who share our values and want to support neurodivergent-led work are also warmly invited to apply.

This voluntary Finance role will suit someone who enjoys making sense of numbers and helping others understand the “money picture”. You’ll help us build clear, simple financial systems so we can grow safely and transparently.

You will:

• Support monthly cashflow and budget vs actual tracking for our core work and projects
  
• Help keep receipts, approvals and financial records tidy and easy to follow
  
• Produce a short quarterly Finance Snapshot in plain English for our Board
  
• Advise on simple procedures (e.g. expenses, basic controls, restricted vs unrestricted funds)

We’re looking for around 8+ years’ experience in finance, bookkeeping or accounts for a CIC, charity, social enterprise or small organisation (or equivalent experience).

Time: 7–14 hours per month, including around 4 short meetings a year. This is a voluntary, advisory/stewardship role (not a legal director position), with flexible, access-aware ways to contribute.

What skills do I need?

• Practical experience managing budgets, cashflow and financial reporting for a CIC, charity, social enterprise or small organisation
• Understanding of restricted vs. unrestricted funds and basic funder reporting requirements
• Confident using spreadsheets or bookkeeping software for cashflow / income & expenditure tracking
• Able to set up and maintain simple financial controls (approvals, receipts, reconciliations)
• Comfortable producing plain-English financial summaries for non-finance colleagues
• Strong attention to detail and organised, methodical working style
• Willing to collaborate closely with Funding and Evaluation roles around costings and value for money
