Who Are We?
Storrington and District Museum is the repository for artefacts, photographs and information with a connection to Storrington and the surrounding villages of Amberley, Ashington, Bury, Cootham, Greatham, Rackham, Parham, Sullington, Thakeham, Washington and Wiggonholt. Its aim is to collect these items so that are preserved for all time and are available for everyone to see.
The Role:
The role is currently covered by one person but could be split to suit applicants. Activities include:
- Responsible for the day to day running of the museum finances
- Maintaining museum accounts
- Regularly reporting to the trustees on the museum finances
- Managing donations and claiming Gift Aid
What skills do I need?
- Accountancy
- Book Keeping
- Financial administration or similar experience
- Spreadsheet usage and management

This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.

Hours are flexible depending on how the role is split and applicants time available.
The Treasurer usually attends monthly meetings to provide a Financial Update
Most of the work can be done at home but it is necessary to make regular visits to the Museum to collect donations and income from sales
