Serving customers in a prompt & pleasant manner from a simple takeaway buffet in newly refurbished static train carriage at local heritage railway.
Activities:-
- To prepare buffet for opening, ie set up cake displays, top up drinks and snack items for sale.
- Serve hot drinks from coffee machine.
- Record cash & card sales through simple EPOS till (electronic point of sale), training given.
- Replenish buffet items during the day.
- Cashing up & reconcilling end of day totals.
They are looking for volunteers who can spare time on a Sunday and/or some Bank Holidays during the running season April to Oct and the Santa Specials in December.
Rostered shift patterns negotiable, with minimum of 4 hour shift.
Transport essential as this is a rural location near Chapel Brampton.
No lone worker working required.

What skills do I need?
- Friendly, helpful personality, enthusiasm & a smile essential.
- Awareness of good food hygiene standards.
- Attention to detail regarding giving change & logging sales accurately.
- Some previous experience of customer facing service preferred, but not essential.
- Able to work as a team with other buffet staff.
