About the roles: · All roles are based Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm. Volunteer opportunities: · Ward Volunteer - Spend time with patients, offering friendly conversation and a listening ear. Chat/read with patients who may not have visitors · Response Volunteer -Collecting and delivering notes / swabs / medication / equipment & running errands from various departments / wards and many more tasks Your commitment: Just 3–4 hours a week can make a real impact. A regular commitment is required. If you cannot commit to weekly volunteering please look out for future opportunities.

What skills do I need?

Show empathy and compassion towards others and treats people with dignity and respect Experience assisting the public Ability to communicate in a calm and professional manner Good interpersonal skills Recognise when appropriate to seek support from others Reliable, honest and punctual Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion Ability to work on own initiative

Can you spare 3–4 hours a week?

We are looking for warm, approachable volunteers to support patients and staff.All roles are based Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.

We are looking for warm, approachable Desk Guide volunteers who will be based at our information desks to support people coming into the hospital Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:15pm.
