Hours to suit based in Shoreham giving advice and support to residents in need of help at our offices, community outreaches and on phones and webchat depending on what you are able to do. Our volunteers work with Government and Council offices and give a voice to residents to improve policies. Our advice volunteers work from different offices such as Shoreham and Worthing. Advisers are on phones and webchat. You can also ask to focus on an area such as Energy, Debt or Benefits. What will I do Listen to people and give information and advice on their problems Research options and help available Use phones, webchat, email, and some face to face to help people Help with filling in forms, contact third parties and advocate for clients Write up advice records for future reference Complete training and keep up to date on the latest rules and support available Help change policy through your evidence Work in an amazing team and make a difference every day
What skills do I need?
To be understanding and want to make a difference A good listener and communicator who can explain complex information in different ways Good IT and research skills Good level of literacy and numeracy for letters and budget sheets
