Volunteer Fixers For Repair Cafe

In partnership with Over the Moon and Lancing Parish Council, AVA is working with community groups and volunteers to start up a repair cafe in Lancing.The aim of our repair cafe is to allow community members to work alongside a volunteer fixer to learn skills to fix broken items so they can be reused rather than being sent to landfill.To run the repair cafe we need volunteers to help with the following:
* Registering people and repairs* Helping make teas and coffees* Working alongside cafe visitors to teach them skills to repair household items.In particular we need people with experience fixing textiles, electrical items, bikes, jewelry and also making "general repairs" to household items.
What skills do I need?
Experience in fixing textiles, electrical items, bikes, jewellery and making " general repairs" to household items. Help with making tea & coffee.
