The Leatherhead Institute building was given to the Leatherhead community in 1892 and the Leatherhead Institute Trustees maintain the building in order that its sister charity, the Leatherhead Community Association can fulfil the benefactor's wishes of providing social, leisure and educational opportunities for the community.
We need someone to join our current team of five to help sympathetically restore and update this building for the future.
What skills do I need?
A proactive person with a love and value of old historic buildings is desirable.
The charity would especially welcome applicants with law, building and construction, environmental or grant application experience, however applicants from any discipline are welcome to apply.

The trustees meet on a Tuesday afternoon at 1.15 to discuss ongoing matters (this lasts up to an hour and is not mandatory attendance). There are also 4-5 board meetings every year which take place on a Monday evening at 5.15 finishing by 7 which all trustees are expected to attend. The meeting day can be flexible though for the right candidate.
