Northfields Allotments is London’s oldest allotment site, founded in 1832 and still thriving nearly two centuries later. Our plotholders grow a rich variety of vegetables, fruit and flowers, and the site supports an abundance of wildlife, including several active beekeepers who help maintain a healthy ecosystem. We’re a volunteer‑led community committed to protecting this historic green space and sharing it with local residents. Each year we host two major community events — our Summer Open Day in July and our Halloween Trail in October — welcoming visitors to explore the plots, learn about growing food, and enjoy the unique heritage of the allotments. Northfields remains a place where growing, biodiversity and community come together, and we’re proud to keep this important part of Ealing’s history open, active and flourishing.
