Support Volunteer
You will be redirected to the Bradford Volunteer Centre website to express your interest.
Volunteers required to provide support, encouragement, practical assistance and supervision to service users/members with additional support needs (e.g. dementia) to enable them to participate in a range of activities within the shed. These include woodwork, fishkeeping and horticulture. You will be required to work with and under the supervision of the group leader/s to form part of a team. The ability to work alone will also be a useful asset. Help will be available at all times.
What skills do I need?
Experience of supporting people advantageous. Practical skills in woodwork, horticulture and/or fishkeeping also desirable (but not essential) Volunteers must be responsible, patient and caring.
