London Rangers FC – Community Sports Site Preparation

Role Summary

We are looking for a practical, hands-on volunteer to help prepare our sports grounds for the development of new football pitches. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and wants to support a community project that benefits young people and local families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a ride-on mower to cut large grass areas (full training provided).
• Clear brambles, weeds, and overgrown sections of the grounds.
• Assist with basic grounds maintenance to prepare the site for pitch construction.
• Help keep pathways and open spaces tidy and safe.
• Work with our team to identify areas needing regular upkeep.

What skills do I need?

Requirements:

• Driving licence required (needed for operating the ride-on mower).
• Comfortable working outdoors in all reasonable weather.
• Able to carry out physical tasks (cutting, clearing, lifting small loads).
• Reliable and willing to follow safety guidelines.

Time Commitment:

Flexible hours – we can accommodate mornings or afternoons and weekend. Even a few hours a week will make a big difference.
