Join our Volunteer Welcome Team and help provide a warm, friendly welcome to everyone visiting Chelmsford Cathedral.
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9.30am–5.00pm, with flexible opportunities to cover the times across each day.
As a Welcome Team volunteer, you will:
- Greet and assist visitors, offering a warm and welcoming first impression.
- Support sales in the Cathedral Shop.
- Share information about the Cathedral's worship, history, and upcoming events.
- Help promote the Cathedral as a place of worship, community, and heritage.
- Answer general visitor enquiries or direct people to the appropriate member of staff.
- Ideally be available for one shift per week
What skills do I need?
This is a rewarding opportunity to meet people from all walks of life while helping visitors enjoy everything Chelmsford Cathedral has to offer. Full training and support will be provided.
