Help us be there when life comes full circle and volunteer in one of our charity shops in Sussex and Surrey.

Our 14 charity shops across Sussex and Surrey are a vital way for us to raise important funds for St Catherine’s Hospice and we couldn’t do it without a team of hardworking volunteers. We’re currently looking for enthusiastic, friendly and motivated people to join us as new shop volunteers and help make a difference to the people we care for.

As a St Catherine’s Hospice volunteer shop assistant you’ll be involved in all sorts of activities and tasks in our charity shops: from helping with window dressing and sorting donations, to working behind the till and offering excellent customer service to our customers. The role will be hugely varied and can be flexible to your needs and interests, offering a rewarding experience while helping raise much needed income for the charity.

Volunteering in a St Catherine’s charity shop will not only provide you with excellent experience in retail and customer service, but is also a hugely rewarding way to meet new people and make a huge difference to a local charity.

You’ll get to work alongside a great team of other volunteers, who help us to sort and sell up to 378,000 items in our charity shops – will you be there to help us raise even more money in the future?

We provide a new-starter induction process, training opportunities and regular support for all volunteers.

Availability:

Whether you’re looking to spare two hours on the weekend or regular hours during the week, we’d love to hear from you whatever your availability. We understand that you may be volunteering around other commitments, so we will work together to find the days and hours that best suit you.

Our volunteer roles are open to anyone aged 14 and over, and no specific experience is needed although we’d love to hear from people with a specific background in retail.
