At Hope House Children’s Hospices we believe that every child’s life is precious, however short it may be.
That is why we want to make sure that no one faces the death of a child alone. That every family whose child has a life-threatening condition has the opportunity to receive our help and support, free of charge, when they need it.
Our shops are one of our main sources of income and due to overwhelming support for us through donations and sales in Oswestry we have outgrown our previous shop and have opened a new flagship store on Smithfield Street. It is our biggest store ever and we have exciting new volunteering opportunities to offer.
Your help will make a huge difference in helping seriously ill local children.
It doesn’t matter if you have no previous experience, there will always be something you can help with and you\'ll find you make new friends, feel supported and valued, share your skills or learn new ones and feel welcomed into the Hope House volunteering family.
We need:
Furniture Fans to unload our pre-loved donations and set out stunning displays on our shop floor.
Keen Photographers and Ebay Listers to snap eye-catching pictures and enter pre-loved items on our eBay site.
Fixers and Stitchers to help us upcycle donations of furniture, soft furnishings and clothes.
Creative Crafters to turn our supplied materials into beautiful creations for our handmade@hopehouse range.
Fashionistas and Clothing Sorters to use their eye for fashion to spot trends and pick out clothes and accessories that our customers want to buy.
Shop Floor Supremos to meet and greet our customers, receive donations of pre-loved goodies and provide service with a smile at our tills.
Dynamic Designers to create fabulous displays that showcase our stock in shop windows and hotspots around the store.
PAT Testers to undergo training and ensure our electrical goodies are fit for sale.
Vinyl and Media Wizards to spot top sellers and set out one of the most visited areas in our stores.
Antiques and Jewellery Connoisseurs to spot and research hidden treasures and ensure we are properly pricing rare and valuable items.
Call in to the shop and meet us to find out more.
