We are looking for enthusiastic and approachable ad hoc volunteers to help raise awareness of East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services (ESDAS) within the local community.

This is a flexible, varied role suited to someone who would like to make a difference by helping more people understand domestic abuse, the support available and how to access our services.

What you will be doing

By helping spread the word about ESDAS, you will play an important part in ensuring more people know where to turn for support. Your time could help someone recognise abuse, understand their options or take the first step towards getting help.

You don’t need to be available every week – just a willingness to get involved when you can and help us make a difference.

What skills do I need?

  • A friendly, confident and approachable manner.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to speak to different people.
  • An interest in raising awareness of domestic abuse and supporting the local community.
  • Reliability, enthusiasm and a commitment to representing ESDAS positively.
  • A willingness to undertake any relevant training and follow ESDAS policies and procedures.
