Are you a people person who enjoys making connections, helping others, and being part of a busy, community-focused team?

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Volunteer Engagement & Outreach Assistant to support our Volunteer Coordinator in helping local people find meaningful volunteering opportunities. This is a varied and rewarding role that offers the chance to develop communication, administration, and community engagement skills while making a real difference.

As part of a busy VCQA-accredited volunteer centre, you will help connect potential volunteers with organisations across the community, ensuring people receive the information and support they need to take the next step on their volunteering journey.

What you'll be doing:

• Contacting members of the public and prospective volunteers by telephone and email.
• Learning how to use our volunteer database to search for opportunities and make referrals.
• Following up with volunteers and organisations to monitor progress and outcomes.
• Providing friendly, professional information about volunteering opportunities and our services.
• Supporting the Volunteer Coordinator with administrative tasks related to volunteer matching.
• Assisting at community events, volunteer fairs, information sessions, and training workshops.
• Helping to set up and support events and promotional activities.
• Acting as a positive ambassador for the volunteer centre and the benefits of volunteering.
